With a max of 5 competitors per division and 5 minutes per fight, you will have at most 20 minutes of match time.  6 weight classes, 140, 160, 180, 200, 225 and 225+.  Gi only. Weigh-ins with the gi. The champions of each division have the option of fighting for the absolute belt.  We will have absolute divisions for women's white belt, 0-1 stripe, 2-4 stripe and blue belt class.  4" medals for first and second place.  Belts to the absolute winners.  $750 cash prize to absolute champion with the fastest submission.  There will not be an absolute class for the kids and teens division.  Instead, the belt will be awarded to the champion with the fastest submission time!

Adult legal techniques: all gi chokes that do not crank the neck, arm bar, rear naked, arm triangle, guillotine, D'Arce, Kimura, key lock, wrist lock, Americana, Ezekiel, omoplata, gogoplata.

Kids and teens legal techniques:  Rear naked, arm bar, straight arm lock, key lock, Kimura, Shoulder choke, guillotine on the ground, collar choke, Triangle (no pulling the head), arm triangle.

No knee reaping. No heel hooks.  No scissor takedowns.  No slamming takedowns.  No neck cranks, spine locks or bicep cutters.

No jumping guard.

No points. No advantages. No ref decisions. No overtime.

After the 5 minute match if there is no submission, the match is a draw.   Whoever has the most submissions in their bracket is the champion. If 2 people are tied with the same amount of submissions, how they did against each other in heads up competition will be the first criteria to decide the champion.  If they had a draw, the person with the fastest submission(s) will be the champion.  18 years old and up for the adult division.  16 and 17 year olds can compete in the adult division if they have their parent or legal guardian with them and they sign the waiver for the competitor.

Our Philosophy

Let the competitors decide the outcome!  Nobody wants to pay for a single elimination tournament or have a bad referee.  We've removed these elements from the equation.
